## 1. Creating Coupons

Create instant reward coupons for KakaoTalk users and attach them to messages or card views.\
Enhance brand promotion and offer various benefits to your customers.

➊ **Share Button**\
You can set up a share button that is displayed at the top of the coupon page.\
When the shared button is enabled, the coupon page may be accessed to users who have not received the message directly or are not friends.\
The winning page can also be shared, but if non-participants access the coupon page, the entry page will be displayed.

➋ **Visibility Settings**\
When the coupon’s visibility setting is set to "Show," it may be displayed in various areas within Kakao services,\
including the Home Tab cards. To restrict benefits to users who are friends with your channel, please set it to "Do not show."

**➌ Image**\
You can upload separate images for the entry page and the winning page.

* If the coupon image is wide or tall, it will be cropped to a square ratio.\
  Recommended image size: 720 x 720px.
* Supported file formats: JPG, PNG (max 20MB)

**➍ Title**\
The coupon title will be displayed the same on both the entry page and the winning page.\
Please specify the benefits as the title will appear in the winning speech bubble sent to winners and in messages shared with non-friends.

**➎ Details**\
The details will be displayed on both the entry page and the winning page.\
This field is optional and can be entered up to 600 characters.

**➏ Time Period**

* **Coupon Entry Period:** The period during which users can apply for the coupon will be displayed on the application page.\
  The start and end dates for coupon entries must be specified separately from the message-sending period.<br>
* **Coupon Expiration Date:** You can specify the expiration date for the coupon, determining how long winners can use it after receiving it.\
  The expiration date must be set after the entry period ends and will be displayed on the winning page.

**➐ Receive Coupon Button**\
Users who access the coupon during the entry period will see the “Receive Coupon” button.\
If users are not friends, the “Add Friend” button will be displayed. After they add the channel as a friend, it will change to a “Receive Coupon” button.

**➑ Coupon Codes**\
Ensure the number of coupon codes matches the number of winners.\
You can choose either generate coupon codes automatically or upload a file containing pre-existing coupon codes.

* **Automatic Coupon Code Generation:** You can specify the number of coupons to be issued, with a maximum limit of 2 million.
* **Coupon Code Direct Upload:** Download the sample file and follow the specified format to upload your file. (Supported file formats: .txt, .csv)\
  Coupon codes in the file can be up to 24 characters long, with a maximum of 2 million entries.

**➒ Probability of Winning Upon Entry**

* The probability of winning upon entry is independent of the total number of coupon codes available.
* If the probability of instant win is set to 100% for one entry, it will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. If set to 50% or 20%, the probability of winning for users at the time of entry will reduce to 1/2 and 1/5, respectively.
* Lowering the probability of winning can extend the duration for which the coupons will remain available.
* Winning probabilities can be specified up to five decimal places.

**➓ Coupon Redemption**\
The winning page display will adjust based on the coupon redemption settings.

* **Online:** Winners must enter the URL of the webpage where they can register and use their coupon codes. Clicking the "Register Coupon Number" button on the winning page will redirect winners to the designated webpage.
* **In-Person**: The winning page will display a barcode and an employee verification button.

## 2. Coupon Board

View all created coupons based on their status and valid period.\
Click a coupon title to access its details, modify it, or review its statistics.

**➊ Search Conditions**\
Filter coupons by status or registration date.\
To search for a specific coupon title, enter a keyword and click the search button on the right.

➋ **Coupon List**

* Initial Registration Date: The date the coupon was registered
* **Coupon Title**: Displays the coupon title and the thumbnail of the entry page
* **Remaining Quantity / Issued Quantity:** Shows the total number of coupons issued by the administrator and the remaining quantity after users have claimed them
* **Entry Start Date:** The start date set by the administrator for coupon entry
* **Expiration Date:** The date set by the administrator when the coupon expires
* **Status:** Displays the current status of the coupon
* **'A maximum of 20 coupons with the status "Available for Use" can be created at a time.** (Creating more than 20 is not allowed.)

## 3. Coupon Details

Check the detailed information and current status of a coupon.\
For completed coupons, view statistics, connected messages, and linked posts.

**➊ Winner Lookup**\
Check a user's winning status and date by entering their phone number for customer inquiries.\
Winner information is deleted for coupons whose expiration date has passed more than two years, making lookup unavailable.

**➋ Analytics**\
Displays entry page views, entry count, number of winners, and share count for completed coupons, sorted by aggregation date.

**➌ Download Coupon Numbers**\
Download coupon numbers, whether generated automatically or uploaded manually. (Supported format: .txt)

**➍ Connected Messages / Linked Posts**\
Completed coupons can be attached to messages or posts, and one coupon can be attached multiple times to several messages/posts.\
Click the number of connected messages/posts to see where the coupon has been attached.

**➎ Check Remaining Coupons**\
This button is displayed only for coupons that are in an expired entry period or in an immediate end status.\
Available for up to six months after the entry closing date. Clicking this will send a file with serial numbers to the logged-in Kakao account's email.

**➏ Immediate End**\
Immediately end coupon entry if the event cannot continue or requires urgent termination.\
Once processed, users will see a termination notice on the application page. Use with caution.

**➐ Coupon Modification**\
Modify completed coupons even if they have been sent in messages or attached to posts.

* **Fields Available for Editing**\
  \- Share Button Visibility\
  \- Image\
  \- Title\
  \- Details\
  \- Entry Start Date\
  \- Entry End Date (Can only be modified to a date after the previously set date)\
  \- Expiration Date (Can be extended up to 30 days from the originally set date)\
  \- Probability of Winning Upon Entry\
  \- If the coupon redemption is online, only the link can be modified.

## 4. Smart Chat

### 4-1. Select Type

When 1:1 chatting is difficult, try using Smart Chat.\
You can send simple response messages to users through the chatroom menu and chatbots.

**➊ Chat Menu (Old FAQ Type, Chat Menu)**\
Users can receive automated responses saved in the Admin Center by clicking on the menu.\
No additional development is required—responses can be sent through simple menu settings.&#x20;

**➋ Setting Up Chat Custom Menu**\
Provides access to multiple features at once, including FAQs, chatbots, coupons, posts, URLs, and more.

**❸ Chatbot**\
Create a conversational chatbot through the [Chatbot Admin Center](https://chatbot.kakao.com/).\
The Chatbot Admin Center supports various features for chatbot design, including different types of speech bubbles, direct connection buttons, bot generic menus, and various plug-in functionalities.

### 4-2. Smart Chat: Setting Up Chat List Menu

The chat menu consists of a single menu paired with a response message.\
When users click on a menu, they receive a pre-set response message.

**➊ Add Menu**\
Click “Add Menu” and enter the menu name.\
Once the menu name is entered, create the response message that will be sent when the menu is clicked.

**➋ Response Message**\
The response message includes text, files, and link buttons, just like a regular message.

**➌ Save Menu**\
Save the current menu before adding another one.

**➍ Select Menus to Display**\
You can save up to 20 menus, but only 10 menus can be displayed in the chatroom at a time.\
Use checkboxes to select which menus will be displayed.

**➎ Set Display Duration**\
After selecting the menus, set the display duration.\
The selected menus will only be visible in the chat during the specified period.

**➏ Chat Preview**\
Before saving, preview how the menus will appear in the chat.

**➐ Save**\
Saves the chat list menu with the specified settings.\
You can modify or save the menu at any time, regardless of whether the chat menu type is currently in use.

**❽ Enable List Menu**\
To apply the saved menu to the chat, switch "List Menu Usage" to "On."\
If another chat menu type is currently active, you must first turn it "Off" before enabling this one.

### 4-3. Smart Chat: Setting Up Chat Custom Menu

The chat custom menu can include various features such as FAQs, response messages, coupons, posts, phone numbers, URLs, home, QR codes, and more. When selecting a menu, you can perform various functions, including opening websites/apps, executing channel coupons/posts, and sending messages (e.g., chatbot blocks).

**➊ Menu Display Upon Entering Chat**\
You can set whether the custom menu is open or closed when the user enters the channel chat.

**❷ Set Custom Menu Title**\
When the custom menu is closed, its title will be displayed.\
The title can be up to 8 characters long. If no title is set, it will default to "Channel Menu."

**❸ Menu Style**\
Select a menu template.\
The maximum number of menus and character limits vary depending on the template.\
You can customize the menu background color to your preference.

**❹ Menu Settings**\
Choose between icon type and text type menus.\
When selecting the icon type, you can customize the menu with over 40 available icons.\
Add various features such as FAQs, coupons, posts, phone numbers, home, QR codes, and more.

**❺ Badge Settings**\
Add badges to the menu to increase visibility.\
Only one menu can have a badge at a time.

**❻ Save**\
Saves the custom menu settings for the chat.\
You can modify or save the menu at any time, regardless of whether the chat menu type is currently in use.

**❼ Enable Custom Menu**\
To apply the saved menu to the chatroom, switch "Custom Menu Usage" to "On."\
If another chat menu type is currently active, you must first turn it "Off" before enabling this one.

### 4-4. Managing Auto-Response Messages

You can manage messages that will be automatically sent when a chat menu is selected.

**❶ New Auto-Response Messages**\
Set up auto-response messages to be linked to the chat list menu or chat custom menu.\
You can register up to 20 auto-response messages.

**❷ Status**\
If an auto-response message is linked to a chat list menu or chat custom menu, it will be marked as "Connected." Connected messages cannot be deleted.
